Mary Poppins and Broadway comes
to Trumbull

The foundation presented a workshop
at Trumbull High School with the broadway cast of Mary Poppins.The event was a celebration that nurtured kids, actors, journalists, and teachers. Several lucky students got to participate with the actors during a round of improvisation. This occasion, and the subsequent annual visits by Broadway cast members to Trumbull High School, provide ultimate life-affirming experiences.

Lion King Cast Comes to Trumbull

On Monday March 6th, 2006- The incredibly talented cast of the Lion King came to Trumbull High School for a workshop with the Theater Dept, Marching Band, and other interested Teens.The day was a tremendous success with emotionally powerful songs mixed with comedy & music.

Our heartfelt thanks to the cast members who so graciously donated their time to participate in this event.

"Sketch Comedy Night"

Sketch Comedy Night was held at the New Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square on January 23, 2006, featuring special guest appearances by Jorma Taccone and Andy Samberg.

All proceeds went to the Sara Taccone Foundation for the Arts.

The 1st Fall Foundation Classic

Thank you to the many people, high school students, politicians, avid baseball players and many sponsors, who came out to warm up a brisk day at Harbor Yard. We were pleased to have First Selectwoman, Diane Farrell, First Selectman, Ray Baldwin, State Representative, T.R. Rowe and Congressman Christopher Shays threw the first pitch to start the game!

The 2005 Fall Foundation Classic

Thank you to everyone who participated in the second Annual Fall Foundation Classic on September 11, 2005. This year we did something different and were lucky to have the Trumbull Police and the Trumbull Firemen play a marquee game against each other along with our regular games.

Lion King

Sara's birthday was celebrated with a specially dedicated performance of the Lion King at the New Amsterdam Theater in New York.

Dinner Benefit

On June 28, 2004, on the anniversary of the accident, the Foundation hosted a dinner for the wonderful nurses of the surgical ICU at St. Vincent's Hospital.

Good Vibrations

The Sara Taccone Foundation for the Arts was the proud sponsor of a workshop with the cast of Good Vibrations at Trumbull High School on March 6, 2007. A special guest appearance was made by Jane Hanson of WNBC TV's, Jane's New York.

Broadway comes to
Trumbull High

A special assembly was held on March 1, 2004 with Broadway actors and musicians performing songs from their shows.
